MOBILE MEMOIR™ releases V3.0 of its Web Survey Solution

January 5th, 2005 . Dallas, TX. For immediate release. Mobile Memoir™ announces the release of version 3.0 of its web survey solution, which supports the creation, administration, invitation management, and real-time results monitoring on retrieval for web-based surveys and for surveys administered over wireless devices.

New features in 3.0 include simplified programming, launching, monitoring, and data retrieval of web surveys for non-programmers and research professionals. Some of these features include:

• WYSIWYG (“What You See is What You Get”) HTML editor for programming of tables, extra text, message pages, and other information. While continuing to support html, the WYSIWYG editor allows non-programmers to design sophisticated layouts and cut and paste from Word.
  
• An Advanced Quota Filter for simple programming of even the most complex quotas. The Advanced Quota Filter displays in real time all programmed quotas, providing a visual indicator of how rapidly quotas are filling and enabling researchers to adjust slow-to-fill quotas or line up additional panel resources when necessary.
  
• On-line programming help . In the same way that users are accustomed to accessing online help for common desktop applications, familiar online help may be used to guide them through all aspects of the survey design and management process.
  
• Automated condition editor and automated programming of validation to simplify programming tasks. Designed for non-programmers and for validation problems that are difficult to program, Mobile Memoir’s automated validation requires no knowledge of programming logic. In addition, commonly used types of validation (such as mutually exclusive responses or the ability to select a specified number or range of responses) may be programmed with pull-down menus, again requiring no use of programming logic.
  
• Automatic, fully labeled downloads to SPSS™ *. In additional to automatic downloads to ASCII/CSV and Excel, researchers may now opt to download raw data to SPSS™ *. Data files may be retrieved in real time as often as desired throughout the data collection process, enabling researchers to present mid-study findings, quicken back-end tab preparation, begin coding of open-ended responses, and speed the analytical process.
  
• Simplified concept rotation . Now even a non-programmer can develop and rotate concepts within a survey for even the most complex of research designs. When combined with our Advanced Quota Filter, Mobile Memoir™ is a powerful tool for assigning individual quotas to concepts for ad testing, branding, and other applications within the research community.
